Indian single malt sales catch up with Scotch rivals

The sales of Indian single malts have surged, catching up with Scottish rivals, due to the increasing demand for homegrown brands. In 2022, Indian malt sales rose 2.4 times to 281,000 cases, while Scotch (single malt) sales increased by 35% to 296,000 cases. Indian brands now account for around a third of the market, compared to 15% five years ago.
